Canyons Neighborhood Map
Canyons Resort, one of Park City’s three world-class ski resorts, along with Deer Valley and Park City Mountain Resort, is close to both I-40 and I-80 as well as Salt Lake City, and an International Airport (35 minutes). Being close to the Kimball Junction area of Park City allows an easy commute to Salt Lake City, or be on the slopes right away. Talisker purchased The Canyons, as it was named, by American Ski Company in 2008. Talisker began an entire resort improvement project in 2010 that by estimates included over $75 million spent as well as the name change dropping ‘The’ and adding ‘Resort’ to the name. Canyons Resort improvements included both on mountain services (more and improved bathrooms, dining, and terrain), and resort village improvements from better and more dining as well as new concert stages and more events including nationally televised competitions. The most noticeable improvement was probably the rerouting of the Red Pine Gondola and the addition of the Orange Bubble Express. The Orange Bubble Express, is the only high speed quad lift in North America with heated seats and a bubble shield to protect skiers and snowboarders from the elements. The Orange Bubble Express also helped to spread mountain traffic around and improve mountain access by 45%. Canyons Resort is Utah’s Largest Ski Resort and offers over 4,000 acres of terrain for skiers and snowboarders. Canyons is a four season destination with activities available not only in the winter, but spring, summer and fall as well. Another new improvement is Canyons Bike Park which operates from mid-June until mid-October. Canyons Bike Park is Utah’s only lift serviced flow park and offers thrill-seekers the gravity and jumps they love while also having milder trails for beginners.
These significant improvements have attracted more people to Canyons Resort which translates directly into more real estate interest. Real Estate offerings at Canyons Resort includes vacant land on which to build your dream ski or mountain getaway home, single family homes, condominiums, whole-ownership condos and fractional-ownership opportunities. Several neighborhoods are available or in very close proximity to Canyons Resort.
